Estimator​/Cost Manager

Due to growth, we are looking for someone with good analytical skills and an attention to detail to assess costs and complete take-off's effectively.

As our Estimator / Quantity Surveyor you will play a vital role in ensuring that our projects are accurately costed; from pre-build through to completion!

Produce cost appraisals of new land opportunities

Carry out detailed take-offs to abstract into feasibilities and cost plans.

Read drawings & review project specifications to understand the requirements in order to prepare detailed estimates and budgets for projects, including materials, labour & plant

Collaborate with other members of the team including Land Managers, Technical, and Design to gather necessary information for accurate estimates as well as supporting the wider team generally with tasks as required

Maintain and update cost databases.

Prepare bid proposals and other documentation required for project bids.

Bachelor's degree or BTEC Diploma, or currently studying towards in construction related qualification

Previous experience in take-offs for New Build housing preferred but not required.

Proficient in cost estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Eagerness to continually learn and develop skills in estimating, take-offs and construction management.
