Job Overview

Electrical Engineer – Permanent, Pontefract site.

Working hours: Alternating;
Monday – Friday: 06:00 – 14:00 / 14:00 – 22:00

Hours of work: 40 hours – Alternating

• Completing jobs in line with the preventative maintenance schedule
• Responding quickly and effectively to all breakdowns
• Ensuring all activities are carried out in line with the standards expected in the food industry
• Carrying out project and commissioning work as requested
• Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with any Permit to Works, job recording, fire alarm muting, Health & Safety and Hygiene set system of work

• Electrical Apprenticeship is essential
• Extensive PLC experience
• Installation and commissioning experience is essential
• Qualified in IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition
• Manufacturing background is preferred
• Practical problem‑solving skills
• Good communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to make decisions under pressure
