As we continue to grow, we are seeking an HR Generalist who wants to make a visible, hands on impact at the facility level.

The Role

The HR Generalist serves as a trusted partner to facility leadership and employees, supporting day to day HR operations while helping execute strategic people initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast paced manufacturing environment, values employee engagement, and enjoys balancing operational HR with relationship building.

You will be the primary HR resource for the Pontiac facility while collaborating closely with corporate HR partners on broader initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage full cycle recruitment for hourly production and salaried roles, including interviewing, hiring support, and onboarding
  • Partner with facility leadership on employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning
  • Serve as a resource for HR policies, procedures, benefits, and company programs
  • Support proactive employee relations efforts, including the Open Door Policy and internal communication initiatives
  • Administer FMLA, disability, and other leave programs
  • Assist with Workers’ Compensation claims and support timely claim resolution
  • Coordinate and support training activities including onboarding, safety, leadership development, and compliance training
  • Maintain accurate employee records in compliance with EEO, OSHA, labor laws, and company policy
  • Participate in facility level and company wide HR projects as needed
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent applicable experience
  • Working knowledge of employment laws, recruiting practices, EEO, AAP, and HR policy administration
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel
Preferred Qualifications
  • Three or more years of HR Generalist and or recruiting experience
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing or production environment
  • HRIS and ATS experience
  • SHRM certification or progress toward certification
Compensation

The expected salary range for this role is $49,300 to $91,500 per year
, based on experience, skills, and internal equity. This position is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package and long term career development opportunities.
