- Report to and assist Precision Planting’s Precision Technology Institute Farm Director and Commercial Agronomist to develop a plot layout and assist in managing the preparation, planting, and management of the PTI farm.
- Coordinate the scheduling of the PTI farm for visitor use and field shows.
- Assist in developing and executing a marketing plan and needed activities to promote the work and findings at the Precision Technology Institute.
- Assist in developing a marketing plan to leverage the learnings and experiences on the farm to take to other locations and dealers.
- Assist in collaborating with external organizations to maximize the Precision Technology Institutes utilization.
- Operate demonstration equipment for dealer and farmer ride and drives.
- Perform daily field operations as needed such as tillage, planting, spraying, mowing, cultivating, fertilizer application.
- Maintain plots in good visual condition during growing season through mowing, weeding, and tilling.
- Oversee the installation of the appropriate signs uniformly on plots, following consistent guidelines for numbering and lettering so signs look consistent.
- Assist in harvest calculations and preparation of yield summary data.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Agronomy or Precision Agriculture, or related experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proactive approach to problem solving
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
- Experience with Excel, Word, and Power Point
This position will be within the range of $54,797 to $110,000, based on experience. This position is eligible for a bonus based on 5% of compensation.
