Junior Underwriter – Up to $20,000 in Potential Incentives

Join United Wholesale Mortgage as a Junior Underwriter and help build our mortgage solutions.

• 8‑hour shift, Monday – Friday
• 100% full‑time, on‑site attendance in Pontiac, MI
• No immigration sponsorship; candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States

• Collect, review, and examine an applicant’s financial history and records.
• Perform risk assessment reports.
• Analyze client financial statements and identify effective alternatives to the application.
• Maintain knowledge of and adhere to investor guidelines, state and federal underwriting lending policies and required documentation.
• Keep up with changes and adaptations as they occur.
• Provide elite service to internal and external clients.
• Communicate with clients via email and phone on loan status, including Mortgage Loan Officers and Broker Owners.
• Manage multiple priorities while building rapport with clients.

• Completed 2  or 4‑year college degree.
• Strong rationale and problem‑solving skills.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other internet resources.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and be coached.
• Adaptable to a flexible, fast‑changing industry.
• Self‑motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to take accountability for actions.
• Preferred experience in Finance and/or Accounting (financial analysis, accounts receivable and accounts payable).
