Overview
CT Technologist role at Trinity Health MI. Full-time position with evening shift. 10,000 sign-on bonus offered for full-time; cross training available in CT and IR.
Responsibilities- Performs computerized tomography procedures for the evaluation of pathological entities as prescribed by a physician. Assumes responsibility and maintains the general care and safety of patients during diagnostic procedures.
- Completes all necessary worksheets, patient records and documentation. Processes scans and related functions as needed.
- Assists Radiologist in performing complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies.
- Administers intravenous contrast media, including use of power injectors. Monitors patients for possible reactions and provides immediate care if a reaction occurs.
- Operates CT equipment, power injectors, PACS, RIS system and processes films; performs a wide range of CT procedures.
- Assists physicians in procedures in the procedure room.
- Maintains professional and ethical relationships with customers to preserve quality of care.
- Provides on-call coverage as needed in the CT area.
- Performs general nursing duties as needed to meet patient needs.
- Performs clerical duties related to chart documentation, radiology files, billing and processing of images into PACS and conventional film.
- Maintains working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and Trinity Health policies to ensure ethical and professional behavior.
- Must be a graduate of a formal Radiology Technology program in an JRCERT-approved school.
- Must be registered and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Current Advanced certification in Computerized Tomography or must complete Advanced Registry within one year of hire date.
- ARRT and CT certification.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
- ARRT certification with two years as a registered technologist.
- Preferred one year of CT experience.
