Acute Care Physical Therapy Assistant – Trinity Health

• Part‑time – Day Shift
• Location:
  
  Pontiac, MI (Trinity Health Oakland Hospital)
• Minimum of one weekend day per month
• Schedule:
  
  Contingent (Non‑Benefitted)

• Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited APTA program
• Current Michigan Licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong interpersonal communication skills – empathy, teamwork, positive attitude

• Implement therapeutic exercise programs as identified by the supervising physical therapist.
• Adjust treatment style based on patient age, cognitive function, and the supervising physical therapist’s recommendations.
• Maintain all required documentation per department policy and process patient billing.
• Ensure compliance with reimbursement requirements and authorizations.
• Meet productivity expectations as determined by management each fiscal year.
• Foster effective communication and relationships with physical therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Pursue continuing education to build on existing skills and knowledge.
• Adhere to the department and hospital code of ethics and policies.
• Participate actively in daily department operations and contribute to regulatory compliance and customer service expectations.
