Patient Access Representative, ED Registration FT Midnights

Full‑time, 12‑hour night shift (6 pm–6:30 am) with a 3‑day week, including weekend and holiday rotations.

• Perform patient access processes: registration, pre‑registration, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling for various departments.
• Enter patient data into the Pathways Healthcare Scheduling system and coordinate multiple services in proper sequence.
• Collaborate with departments to optimize equipment and facility usage while accommodating physician preferences and patient needs.
• Provide courteous, professional customer service, proactively building relationships and prioritizing patient satisfaction.
• Collect patient financial liability payments and ensure patients meet financial requirements, including Medicare medical necessity, payer pre‑certifications, and referrals.
• Distribute analytical reports and support performance‑improvement activities as indicated by program efficiency and patient experience outcomes.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA certification required within one year of hire.
• Medical terminology knowledge and understanding of diagnostic & procedural coding (nice to have).
• Experience with insurance verification and ability to explain benefits and secure authorizations.
