Job Description

This is a 13-week contract position.

The Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care by delivering intensive respiratory care services and patient transport as medically prescribed. Responsibilities include evaluating patients, recommending treatment plans, and educating patients on treatment procedures and equipment.

• Conduct physician-prescribed treatments operating various ventilatory equipment.
• Perform chest physiotherapy to aid in secretion clearance.
• Monitor oximetry and capnography according to policy.
• Review patients' chest x-rays for further evaluation.
• Perform 12-Lead EKG and basic arrhythmia recognition.
• Assist with respiratory care procedures (e.g., Bronchoscopy, Perc Trachs, Chest Tube placement).
• Perform tracheostomy care and manage tracheostomy tubes.
• Conduct arterial puncture and monitor ventilation efficiency.
• Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation following BLS and ACLS guidelines.
• Set up and maintain mechanical ventilation equipment.
• Record pertinent treatment information and communicate findings with healthcare teams.

Must possess relevant licensure and certifications as a Respiratory Therapist.
