Overview
Accountability Objectives: Provide a safe, clean and sanitary environment for patients, visitors and staff. Performs a variety of departmental functions and tasks primarily focused on repetitive cleaning and sanitation following established department and hospital policies; using safe work practices and following state and federal regulatory compliance guidelines. Coordinates with department Leadership and Logistics Center to meet the environmental services needs of the organization.

II. Position QualificationsMinimum Education, Licensure / Certification And Experience Required
- Education:
High School diploma or GED preferred. Ability to read and write required. - Licensure / Certification:
Not Applicable. - C Special Skill / Aptitudes:
Excellent customer service orientation; ability to bend and stoop, push heavy objects up to 35 lbs; ability to learn and perform various job-related tasks; ability to work in a health care environment with sensitivity to patient, visitor and staff dignity; ability to make decisions for safety; ability to work collaboratively in a team; ability to modify work plans to ensure completion of assignments to support patient care. - Experience:
Previous experience performing housekeeping activities in a clinical environment preferred.
Reports for work on time, appropriately dressed in uniform (including Hospital issued technology) and ready to work in assigned area. Uses SJMO issued technology for access to systems (email, bed tracking, etc.). All breaks must be taken at assigned times in authorized areas unless prior approval is given. Remains in assigned work area unless assigned elsewhere; must notify supervisor to request permission to leave.
