Schedule:

Monday – Friday, excepting holidays, PTO, and vacation requests which will continue to follow the process as written in the collective bargaining agreement.

Note:

Only Full Time 1.0 FTE colleagues will be considered for this schedule, as this is not a reduction nor an addition. All FTE’s will remain neutral through this alignment.

• Provide a safe, clean and sanitary environment for patients, visitors and staff. Performs a variety of departmental functions and tasks primarily focused on floor care and sanitation. Additional role includes performing duties as Environmental Services Technician I, according to established department and hospital procedures and policies, using safe work practices and following state and federal regulatory compliance guidelines.
• Coordinates with department Leadership and Logistics Center to meet the needs of the environmental services needs of the organization.

• Education:
  
  High School diploma or GED preferred. Ability to read and write required.
• Licensure / Certification:
  Valid Driver's License preferred.
• Special Skills / Aptitudes:
  Excellent customer service orientation skills necessary in order to deal effectively with various levels of hospital personnel, outside customers and community groups.

• Ability to bend and stoop, push, pull and manage equipment of up to 250 lbs. and independently lift heavy objects up to 55 lbs.
• Ability to learn and perform various job related tasks.
• Ability to work in a health care environment and be sensitive to needs and respect the dignity of patients, visitors and staff.
• Ability to make decisions for the safety of patients, visitors and staff.
• Ability to work with others collaboratively within a "team" environment to complete goals and tasks.
• Ability to modify work plans and priorities to ensure the completion of assignments requested are accomplished to support patient care.

• One year of "Environmental Services Technician I" experience or similar experience in a health care setting.
• One year experience in various applications of floor care cleaning and refinishing, carpet and upholstery cleaning (floor care) and operation and basic repair of various types of departmental equipment including burnisher, scrubber and
