Heat Treating Services, a family-owned company that has been established since 1978, is seeking an HR Generalist to join their team in Pontiac, MI.
What a Qualified Human Resources Professional will bring to the HTS team:- At least 5 years of experience in an HR role
- Payroll experience
- Experience with Workers’ Compensation and Injury Recording
- Must have direct face-to-dace experience dealing with conflict resolution and Employee Relations
- Experience interviewing candidates

Be part of a collaborative HR team that works together to support each other and provide high-quality HR services to the HTS team.
- Maintain and manage employee personnel records and HR documentation in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Administer employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions and attendance issues.
- Support recruitment and hiring processes, including job postings, applicant screening, and interviews.
- Process weekly payroll and maintain accurate employee data within Paycom.
- Ensure compliance with employment eligibility requirements, including Form I-9 verification.
- Coordinate and track employee performance evaluations and related compensation adjustments.
- Manage workplace injury reporting and follow up on open claims.
- Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, open enrollment, and COBRA.
- Handle unemployment claims and represent the organization at hearings when necessary.
- Support and coordinate employee recognition and engagement initiatives.
HTS is a family-owned and operated supplier of premier heat treating and quality services. HTS serves the automotive, military, railroad, mining, heavy truck, agriculture, recreational and other industries. Their market area primarily covers the North Eastern portion of the United States and Canada.
