We are seeking a Web Content Developer for a 6-month contract position based in Pontiac, MI.

• Produces and edits website content; creates and designs graphics, animation and other multimedia objects for the County websites.
• Develops and documents style guides keeping with design philosophy.
• Designs and implements user interface and information architecture.
• Photographs and edits pictures for distribution through various media.
• Collaborates with customers across ~80 departments to rework areas of the site to simplify, combine, and eliminate content while refreshing the look and feel within the pre-developed template.
• This role is 90% web content and 10% design, with approximately 70% of time on customer support/reworking current pages/sites and 30% on new development into new sites/applications.

• Previous enterprise-level site experience.
• Strong knowledge of content organization, copyediting for usability, and optimizing for accessibility.
• Modern/clean graphic design skills with experience creating graphics for the web.
• Strong communication skills and excellent customer service.
