Overview

Registered Nurse/Graduate Nurse - Acute Oncology Unit at Trinity Health MI. Full-time, Night shift. 36 hours per week across 12-hour shifts, with weekend rotation and holiday commitment.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is accountable for the management of patient care during a designated timeframe. Responsibilities include coordination and evaluation of care, teaching and delegation of patient activities to other members of the health care team using the nursing process and the environment; assume a leadership role in providing professional nursing care to patients within Trinity Oakland Hospital. Responsibilities also include coordination, implementation and evaluation of the continuum plan of care in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team;

actively support and participate in Shared Governance; and promote the organization s commitment to customer service.

Qualifications
  • Education:

    Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing or equivalent.
  • Licensure / Certification:
    Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Michigan.
  • ACLS:
    Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required for all RN Care Managers in specified units.
  • BCLS:
    Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is required for all RN Care Managers providing in-patient bedside care.
  • ENCP:
    Current Emergency Nurse Pediatric Certification is required for RN Care Managers in the Emergency Room.
  • PALS:
    Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support is required for RN Care Managers in the Ambulatory Simulation Center and PACU.
  • NRC:
    Neonatal Resuscitation Certification is required for RN Care Managers in NICU and Labor & Delivery.
  • Experience:

    Minimum two years  work experience as an RN on a medical/surgical unit or in an ICU/CCU, depending on the pool assignment.
Experience / Special Skills
  • Excellent customer service orientation and ability to work with diverse hospital personnel, patients and community groups.
