Employment Details- Employment Type: Full time
- Schedule: Rotating shifts (36 hours per week, 12‑hour shifts, weekend rotation and holiday commitment)
- Location: Trinity Health Oakland – a 497‑bed community teaching hospital, level II trauma center
- Coordinate and evaluate patient care, teaching and delegation of patient activities to other health care team members.
- Assume a leadership role in providing professional nursing care to patients within Trinity Oakland Hospital.
- Coordinate, implement, and evaluate the continuum plan of care in collaboration with other members of the multi‑disciplinary team.
- Actively support and participate in Shared Governance and promote organizational customer service commitment.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent.
- Licensure / Certification: Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Michigan.
- Certifications required (unit‑specific):
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for RN Care Managers in ER, ICU, CCU, PACU, Cardiac Med/Surg, Labor & Delivery, Endoscopy, Cath Lab, Special Procedures, Radiology and the Ambulatory Surgery Center.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) for RN Care Managers providing in‑patient care at the bedside, including the Operating Room and Day Hospital.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Certification (ENCP) for RN Care Managers working in Emergency Room.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) for RN Care Managers working in Ambulatory Surgery Center and PACU.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Certification (NRC) for RN Care Managers working in NICU and Labor & Delivery.
- Minimum two years' work experience as an RN on a medical/surgical unit (for the Med/Surg Pool) or minimum two years' work experience as an RN in an ICU or Critical Care unit (for the Critical Care Pool).
- Excellent customer service orientation skills necessary deal effectively with various levels of hospital personnel, outside customers, and community groups.
