Hybrid:
This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Concord, NC three times per week, at minimum.
We are looking for a passionate and driven Software Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting GM Motorsports programs including NASCAR, Indy Car, Sport scars, and F1. This role offers a unique opportunity to blend cutting‑edge software development with the high‑performance world of racing.

As part of our team, you’ll contribute to the development of innovative tools that race teams rely on to enhance vehicle performance and optimize race execution. You’ll collaborate directly with engineers, race teams, and stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable solutions that make a real impact on the track.
What You’ll Do- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions in collaboration with senior engineers.
- Write clean, efficient, and well‑documented code that meets performance and reliability standards.
- Participate in code reviews, offering and receiving constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in software engineering.
- Support testing, deployment, and maintenance of software applications.
- Engage in team discussions and brainstorming sessions to drive innovation.
- Collaborate with Technical Product Managers and business partners to deliver effective identity and access solutions.
- Take ownership of product quality and service reliability.
- Work closely with race teams to assess software architecture and ensure alignment with performance goals.
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field of study.
- 5 or more years of professional, post‑graduate software development experience.
- Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, software design).
- Languages & Frameworks:
Angular, C#, .NET, WPF. - Cloud & Databases:
Azure, Mongo
DB, SQL Server, Postgre
SQL. - Tools & APIs: REST APIs, Apache Kafka, Signal
R, gRPC, Visual Studio. - Development Practices:
Agile/Scrum, SDLC, code reviews, unit testing. - Experience with modern development tools, frameworks, and version control systems.
- Ability to thrive in high‑pressure, performance‑driven environments.
- Passion for motorsports and a desire to contribute to high‑performance racing environments.
- Solid problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong collaboration skills to interface with cross‑functional teams inside GM or external race teams.
- Strategic thinking Effective communication with stakeholders and leadership.
This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the selected candidate is expected to report to a specific location at least 3 times a week (or other frequency dictated by their manager). This job may be eligible for relocation benefits.
