North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a Mental Health Counselor.

• Provide case management and individual and group counseling services to patients.
• Conduct patient and family interviews in a professional and thorough manner.
• Present educational modules to enhance patient communication skills, coping skills, assertive behavior, etc.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in the formulation of treatment and discharge plans.
• Monitor, measure, and document patient progress during treatment.

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling or related field.
• Licensed Master Social Worker, Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associate.
• Two years’ clinical experience in an inpatient or outpatient psychiatric setting is highly desirable.
• Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with adult and geriatric patients.
