Job Overview
The post holder will perform a variety of routine and specialist scientific and technical tasks within the laboratories of the Welsh Blood Service, including processing and testing of blood and blood components, selection and distribution of blood, blood components and commercial products, quality monitoring of components, and cold chain logistics.
Responsibilities- Ensure that all processes meet the requirements of the UK Guidelines for Blood Transfusion and the EU Directive as inspected by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
- Participate in a 24/7 on‑call rota and variable shift patterns, including weekend working.
- Be within a 30‑minute journey time of the Talbot Green base.
This is a permanent full‑time post offering the successful candidate an exciting opportunity to work in the Manufacturing & Distribution Department at the Welsh Blood Service.
