Warehouse Operator

Renishaw are seeking to recruit a Warehouse Operator to support the warehousing activities at the Miskin site. The role is to ensure our goods are received, stored, and distributed effectively to meet business requirements.

Salary up to £27,400 (+20% shift allowance) depending on experience

Location Miskin

Working hours double day shift pattern (6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm, alternating weekly).

• Perform a wide range of warehouse operations to support the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods - typically in a specific area of the department.
• Comply with company Health & Safety requirements, Quality standards, and applicable local operating procedures.
• Perform a wide range of system transactions to support the warehouse operations.
• Have strong communication skills (written and verbal) as the role involves interaction with both departmental staff and others across the business.
• Maintain a positive, professional attitude and be adaptable to respond to the evolving needs of the department/business.

• A good level of literacy and attention to detail is required in the role to deal with various warehouse and order related information.
• The ideal candidate should be capable of working efficiently in an environment that may occasionally be physically demanding.
• Good level of computer literacy - experience of using Microsoft Office software (eg: Outlook).
• Good awareness and attitude to health & safety.

• Current Fork Lift truck licence is preferable, although training will be provided.
• Previous experience of working in a warehouse or stores environment.
• Previous experience of using company stock control/ERP systems.

The successful applicant will be required to carry out general warehouse duties in a busy environment, handling domestic and international goods. The applicant will be a self-motivated 'team player' and have a methodical approach to problem solving with the ability to plan ahead, prioritise, and co-ordinate with colleagues.
