Salary: £2,680 per annum (Full Time: £24,796) (G01)

Work base: Nant BH and Pentrellyncymer Outdoor Education Centres

About the role

Are you over 18 and interested in a career in Outdoor Education? Do you enjoy the challenge of working with young people? Do you already have an interest in one or more outdoor activities?

If so, a year's Trainee Instructor placement at Nant BH or Pentrellyncymer Outdoor Education Centres could be the first step in your career.

Responsibilities
  • Work alongside experienced outdoor staff teams in both centres.
  • Receive National Governing Body Award training and/or assessment in relevant activities.
  • Improve skills and work towards accreditation for RPIOL.
  • Gain experience working with a variety of groups and develop knowledge of venues in North Wales.
  • Act in a professional manner and take every opportunity to make the most of your year.

Requirements
  • Over 18 years old.
  • Interest in one or more outdoor activities.

  • Desire to learn Welsh; ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable.
  • Compliance with Disclosure and Barring Service checks.
  • EWC registration required before starting the post.
