Credit Controller

Robert Half Talent Solutions are recruiting for a Credit Controller for a highly successful, expanding organization to join their growing finance team. This office-based role in Pontypool offers a collaborative team environment and excellent working hours, including a early finish on Fridays.

Key Responsibilities

• Debt Management:
  Monitor accounts receivable daily to ensure timely client payments.
• Proactive Chasing:
  Contact customers via phone, email, and letter to recover overdue invoices.
• Record Keeping:
  Maintain accurate, up-to-date communication logs in the accounting system.
• Query Resolution:
  Resolve billing discrepancies internally and externally to secure payments.
• Team Support:
  Assist the Senior Credit Controller with administrative tasks and debt reporting.
• Payment Allocation:
  Cross-train to process and allocate incoming payments during cover periods.
• Risk Escalation:
  Identify and flag high-risk or problematic accounts to senior management.

Requirements

• Experience: A strong, proven track record in dedicated credit control positions.
• Communication:
  Excellent verbal and written skills for professional customer relationship management.
• Organization:
  High attention to detail with strong record-keeping and administrative skills.

  Full-time, Permanent
• Salary: £31,000 per annum
• Hours:
  Mon-Thu 8am-4pm, Fri 9am-1pm
• Location:
  Office-based, Pontypool
