Overview
Nu Staff are recruiting for Production Operators to join a well‑established manufacturing business in Pontypool. The role is a 6‑month project until December, with structured training, shift allowances, and a potential £1000 bonus payment upon successful completion.
Hours of Work- Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Friday: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Possible rotating shifts: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Training Period (First 12 Weeks): £12.71 per hour
- Day‑shift rate (first 12 weeks): £13.45 per hour
- Initial shift training rate: £14.47 per hour
- Shift rate after training: £15.47 per hour on shifts
- Bonus Opportunity: £1000 bonus payment upon successful completion of the 6‑month project (subject to attendance, performance and client criteria being met)
- Producing and assembling products to required quality standards
- Operating machinery and production tools safely
- Using hand and air‑fed tools including torque wrenches and sanders
- Completing production and process documentation accurately
- Carrying out quality inspections and reporting concerns
- Supporting stock movement and production line replenishment
- Maintaining clean and safe working areas
- Working collaboratively to meet production targets
- Following all Health & Safety procedures at all times
- Previous production or manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to follow SOPs and technical instructions
- Good attention to detail and quality standards
- Positive can‑do attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
- Reliable with strong time‑keeping and attendance
- Team player with good communication skills
- Must be able to commute reliably
