• Lead the preparation and delivery of financial plans, budgets and forecasts for assigned business areas, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organisational objectives and contributing to the development of actionable insights to inform business decisions.
• Contribute to the timely and accurate production and critical review of management information, financial analysis, and performance dashboards. Use analytical tools and techniques to identify trends, risks and opportunities that support the achievement of business objectives.
• Partner with assigned business areas and cross‑functional teams to provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations that support strategic and operational decision‑making. This includes identifying and evaluating financial risks and opportunities, and communicating them appropriately.
• Drive the development and implementation of cost‑saving initiatives and process improvements, by challenging existing practices to deliver greater efficiency.

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with demonstrable experience in business partnering or financial management within a complex organisation.
• High level of proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
• Demonstrable commercial acumen and ability to translate financial data into actionable business insight.
• Good interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.

The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role. Transport for Wales supports and promotes the use of the Welsh Language by employees and will encourage them to develop, improve and maintain their Welsh Language skills.
