Tax Manager – Finance Department

Applications are invited for the position of Tax Manager, a role within the Finance Department at the University of South Wales. This role sits within the Financial Control and Compliance Team and will report to the Head of Group Financial Accounting & Taxation.

Salary Grade H – £58,226 per annum
, appointment will be made to the minimum of the scale.

This position is based at Pontypridd Campus. The university operates a hybrid model of work; the successful candidate will be expected to work on campus for part of the week.

Role Overview

This is a full‑time post that will function as a critical financial role in the Department managing the tax function for the University and its subsidiary companies, developing and managing strategic reporting to support the delivery of the University’s 2030 strategy. We are looking for a professionally qualified and experienced self‑starter, who is looking for a rare and exciting opportunity to develop and deliver core taxation support and guidance within a complex organisation.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the tax function for the University and its subsidiary companies.
  • Develop and manage strategic reporting to support the delivery of the University’s 2030 strategy.
  • Provide core taxation support and guidance within a complex organisation.
