Planner, Construction, Civil Engineering

Rate: £85,000 - £90,000 per annum + Car Allowance + Benefits

Hours of work: 45 Hours Per Week - Fully Site Based

You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and managing deliverables across all work types and project values. You will also support post-tender negotiations and the handover to the project team, while providing the project management team with efficient planning, scheduling, and performance reporting.

• Ability to develop detail within an existing programme and can coach others
• Ability of update and monitor progress within the working programme and can coach others
• Ability of introducing change into a programme.
• Ability to resource and cost load programmes.
• Have an understanding of the introduction & evaluation of risk in programmes
• Using appropriate methods to check programme robustness.
• Ability to provide routine and one-off programme outputs.

• Demonstrable, broad understanding and working knowledge of construction methods and outputs.
• Proven understanding of commercial and contractual requirements and awareness of change.
• Proven skills in planning software, principally P6, and can coach others.
• Thorough experience and understanding of programming techniques.
• Give advice and support on short term programmes to construction teams.
• Understand how to make an analytical assessment of programmes.
• Ability to evaluate supply chain programmes.
• Understand and comply with business processes and systems.
• Ability to work to defined timescales.
• Establish and maintain Internal and External Project Controls reporting.
