We're working with one of the UK's leading Tier 1 contracting groups, with an established reputation for delivering some of the country's most high-profile and complex infrastructure schemes. Having recently secured a long-term framework to deliver and maintain critical clean and wastewater infrastructure across South Wales, they have a strong and secure pipeline of work, with significant project opportunities forecast for at least the next five years.

Step into a senior commercial leadership position on a major water framework. Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, you'll lead a team of QSs and Senior QSs, take ownership of commercial performance across multiple call-off contracts, and help shape how the framework is run commercially.

What you'll do
  • Lead, coach and develop the QS team, including direct line management of Senior QSs
  • Own commercial performance, forecasting and control across all call-offs
  • Run the monthly reporting cycle: client reports, CVRs, cash flow, change and cost
  • Administer NEC3 contracts, including Compensation Events, negotiations and disputes
  • Oversee subcontract performance against programme, budget and contract
  • Lead commercial risk management and recover contractual entitlement
  • Turn multi-project data into clear executive summaries, and keep improving commercial systems and reporting
What you'll bring
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or similar
  • Proven record leading commercial teams in construction, infrastructure, utilities or engineering
  • Extensive NEC3 experience: ECC Option A, Compensation Events, change control, dispute resolution
  • Full ownership of the monthly reporting cycle, including upstream and downstream change
  • Sharp financial analysis and expert-level Excel
  • Strong negotiation skills and a firm grip on governance and controls
Desirable
  • Water, utilities or framework experience
  • COINS or similar systems
  • Power BI and reporting dashboard experience
