We're looking for a dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join our positive, collaborative team. You'll build confidence, strengthen problem-solving skills, and guide pupils through number, algebra, geometry and real-world maths. By modelling teamwork and a love of mathematical thinking, you'll help learners see how maths empowers them to understand patterns and tackle everyday challenges.
Thank you for expressing an interest in the Teacher of Mathematics post at Ysgol Bro Taf, an all-through 3-16 school based in Pontypridd. We opened our doors in September 2024 following an £18.5 million investment in 21st-century learning facilities that reflect our commitment to excellence. Now, these state‑of‑the‑art spaces are thriving – brought to life by a dedicated and innovative team – and they continue to underpin our ambition and high‑quality provision for the community we serve.
It remains a privilege to lead Ysgol Bro Taf. We are building something exceptional: a school with a clear vision, a strong sense of purpose, and a vibrant all‑through learning community. The chance to shape a new curriculum and culture, to innovate, and to create lasting impact continues to inspire all of us here. I’m looking for colleagues who share this energy and ambition to join us for the next phase of our journey.
At Ysgol Bro Taf, we believe there is brilliance in every child. We are committed to offering rich, diverse learning experiences both within and beyond the classroom. Creating a happy, safe, and inclusive environment – one where all pupils feel supported and known – sits at the heart of everything we do.
Our staff are central to our success. They are empowered to think creatively, to challenge established norms, and to do things differently in pursuit of what’s best for our pupils. In return, Ysgol Bro Taf is an exciting place to work – where every member of staff is valued, achievements are celebrated, and professional growth is actively supported.
We’re committed to collaboration, both within the school and across the wider education community. We actively seek opportunities to learn from others and to share our own practice. High‑quality professional learning remains a cornerstone of our work, and we invest in our staff so they can thrive and grow alongside our pupils.
Should you wish to discuss any aspect of this post further, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
