Are you a passionate Maths Teacher who believes in the power of mathematics to develop problem‑solving skills, logical thinking, confidence, and resilience?
Elementa Support Services is working in partnership with supportive and forward‑thinking secondary schools to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated Teachers of Mathematics who can deliver engaging, challenging lessons across the curriculum. This role offers the opportunity to inspire young people to develop a strong understanding of mathematics, build confidence in numeracy, and achieve their full academic potential within a positive and supportive learning environment.
Aboutthe Role
- Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Teach a broad range of mathematical topics across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable where applicable)
- Develop students’ problem‑solving, reasoning, and analytical skills
- Create a positive, inclusive, and well‑managed learning environment
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress effectively
- Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and positive behaviour at all times
- Support students in preparing for examinations and achieving their academic goals
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply (Elementa can assist)
- Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level (including placements)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Experience teaching across KS3 and KS4
- Experience teaching GCSE Mathematics with a strong understanding of examination requirements
- Experience teaching A‑Level Mathematics or Further Mathematics
- A reflective and adaptable teaching approach
- Weekly pay – no waiting for monthly payroll cut‑off dates;
Elementa pays one week in lieu - PAYE contract – unless requested otherwise, providing full employment protections
- Training & Support – free or heavily discounted training including Safeguarding, Behaviour Management, Team Teach, SEND, Makaton, and Thrive
- Dedicated candidate manager providing regular welfare contact and ongoing support
- Fair pay policy – paid to scale; any variation agreed in writing prior to placement
- Additional staff support services – access to partner services including tax returns, accountancy, legal advice, and more
- Not currently based within the UK
- Requiring employer sponsorship for UK right to work
- Without UK secondary school teaching experience
