Salary: £92.59 per day (minimum)

A leading specialist provider is seeking experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join a SEN school in Church Village, Pontypridd. The role of Teaching Assistant in this setting offers an excellent opportunity to support learners with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) in a dynamic educational environment. The successful candidate will work closely with children aged 3 to 16 years with a variety of special educational needs, providing vital support to enhance their learning experience.

• Supporting and supervising learners with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
• Assisting learners at the start and end of the school day
• Helping staff prepare classrooms for lessons and activities
• Working with learners in small groups or on a 1:1 basis, providing tailored support
• Supporting the delivery of lessons alongside the class teacher
• Assisting learners during break times and lunchtime
• Engaging learners in classroom and outdoor activities
• Following the school’s behaviour management policies

• At least 3 months’ experience working with children in schools, nurseries, or childcare settings; SEN experience is beneficial
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC); support available for registration
• Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
• Right to work in the UK
• Passionate about supporting children with additional needs and committed to inclusive education
