The Faculty of Life Sciences and Education is looking for a talented, passionate and visionary Lecturer to join their Adult Nursing Team. The post holder will join an existing team of academic staff and contribute to mental health nursing provision, as well as a range of other modules/courses, programmes of scholarly activity, and research within the faculty. The post holder will also assume the role of module manager and clinical practice placement link for a number of areas that will be determined upon appointment.
The post holder will be an enthusiastic adult nursing practitioner with experience of working within a range of health specialisms. The post holder will contribute to the assurance of a contemporary adult nursing curriculum, to the development of adult nursing programmes, and to the strengthening of interprofessional education across nursing, and health and social care.
The post holder must hold relevant post-registration professional experience of delivering a range of services in an adult nursing environment and must also have active adult nursing registration with the NMC. They will also have current experience of facilitating the learning of students.
The post holder will be committed to promoting academic enquiry that develops critical thinking in students; supporting safe, effective and evidence-based decision making, whilst developing expertise that supports existing and more established roles in health and social care settings.
Based at Pontypridd, with an expectation to travel to other campuses as required, this role will provide you with a position where you can utilise your range of advanced practice and prescribing skills within the undergraduate and post graduate courses offered at the University. This is a full time, permanent post.
