Overview

Mae’r ddogfen hon ar gael yn Gymraeg / This document is also available in Welsh. An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Chartered Engineer to lead and manage the Structures Team in the Infrastructure Asset Management Section in Rhondda Cynon Taf.
The Council has a dedicated team of Engineers to manage and maintain the highway and parks services structures asset including bridges, retaining walls and larger culverts, and provides technical advice to a range of stakeholders. We are looking for a candidate with experience and knowledge to lead and manage this team. It is an opportunity to work within the third largest local authority in Wales.

  • Hold a degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Hold Chartered Engineer status with the ICE or IStruct

    E or equivalent.
  • Have experience as outlined in the detailed job description.
  • Lead and manage the Structures Team.
Employment Details

The permanent full-time position is based at the Council’s newly constructed, modern headquarters in the centre of Pontypridd. A hybrid working arrangement is in place with staff able to work from both home and the office, which will continue long term. Employment hours are 37 hours a week under the flexible working hours scheme. The annual leave allowance is 26 days holiday per year, increasing to 31 upon five years of completed service (plus eight public holidays).
