Salary: £50,000 + Bonus + Call Out

We're recruiting a Mechanical Engineer on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business with a large-scale production facility in South Wales. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing engineering team, working on heavy industrial plant and equipment within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Alongside day-to-day engineering activities, you'll lead maintenance projects, support plant improvements and help drive reliability across the site.

• Plan and manage preventative maintenance activities, shutdowns and reactive repairs.
• Lead mechanical projects from planning through to completion.
• Ensure work is carried out safely through effective risk assessments, permits and method statements.
• Support reliability improvements and identify opportunities to increase plant performance.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of Mechanical Technicians.

We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a passion for manufacturing and continuous improvement.

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with in a heavy manufacturing, industrial processing or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance and reliability engineering.
• Experience leading engineering projects and developing maintenance teams.
• A practical, hands‑on approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
