Physiotherapy Administrative Assistant
Location:
Bridgend, Wales, United Kingdom
The post holder will work as a member of the Physiotherapy administrative team with direct patient contact duties and work with the wider physiotherapy and multi-disciplinary teams to effectively co-ordinate appointments to optimise clinical capacity.
Key Responsibilities- Co‑coordinate appointments in line with the 14‑week Referral to Treatment (RTT) Pathways and monitor follow‑up activity to ensure appropriate patient outcomes.
- Manage a team of administrative staff to ensure that patient care is delivered in a timely, efficient and effective manner.
- Communicate politely and sensitively with patients, colleagues and other members of staff.
- Work within clearly defined occupational policies to support the Physiotherapy Department in implementing the appropriate monitoring and actioning of clinical pathways for service follow‑up activity.
- Maintain an organised, flexible approach to the workload and demonstrate understanding of relevant clinical systems and work processing skills.
- Use own initiative to co‑coordinate appointments and optimise clinical capacity.
- Experience in physiotherapy administrative or similar clinical support role.
- Strong organisational skills and flexibility in workload management.
- Understanding of relevant clinical systems and work processing skills.
- Fluency in Welsh not required; speaking and listening skills at Level 3 (CEFR B2) or above are considered advantageous.
