  • Maintain an inclusive workforce, champion diversity, foster collaboration and well-being.
  • Provide flexible, digitally enhanced environments to encourage innovative teaching, research & collaborative work practices.
  • Embrace effective and efficient service delivery to support long-term sustainability.

The University of South Wales IT Services support this by providing high quality technology solutions and services to support learning and teaching, the web presence, corporate and research operations of the University and have a proven record in responding to customer needs and using evolving technologies.

IT Services are currently seeking a Digital Product and Resources Manager to join the Digital Portfolio Office within IT Services. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with leading edge technology on a wide variety of IT Projects, supporting colleagues and students across the University as stakeholders of the Digital Portfolio. As well as working as part of the team, you will be capable of working on your own and you will enjoy working with stakeholders and colleagues from across the organisation to achieve outstanding solutions.

The successful candidate will be adept at managing resource demand allocation and capacity planning from portfolio level through to project and task levels. Ideally, they will understand technical resources and digital environments and how they support the transformation and BAU change requirement across an organisation's departments, including change in operating models. The successful candidate will also have substantial experience of supporting business change and benefits realisation in a large, complex organisation from a resource's perspective, specifically experience of systems implementation which transforms the customer experience and end to end optimisation of organisational efficiency will be essential.

The individual will support the leadership team of both IT Services and the Transformation Team, communicating between those areas and other internal and external parties, acting as a 'translator' where necessary to convey how transforming areas of the university can support the organisation's needs and realise benefits. Ensuring projects are delivered on time and to budget will be vital.
