HR Systems Project Manager

HR Systems Project Manager required by our business services client, to lead the delivery of a major HR technology transformation, overseeing the introduction of an integrated HR and payroll solution from initial planning and procurement through to implementation and post-launch optimisation.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in HR systems, payroll technology and business transformation to take ownership of a significant project, working closely with senior stakeholders, internal teams and external suppliers.

The Role

* Take ownership of the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and business case development through to implementation and ongoing improvement.

* Lead the selection and procurement of a new HR and payroll system, managing supplier relationships and contract negotiations.

* Oversee project plans, budgets, resources, risks, dependencies and governance, ensuring successful delivery against agreed objectives.

* Coordinate system configuration, data migration, integration, testing and implementation activities.

* Work collaboratively with HR, Payroll, IT and Procurement teams to ensure the solution meets business requirements.

* Manage stakeholder engagement, communications and change activities to support a smooth transition and strong user adoption.

* Ensure the new system supports efficient HR and payroll operations, with appropriate controls and compliance in place.

About You

* Proven experience delivering complex HR systems implementations or HR technology transformation projects.

* Strong understanding of HRIS platforms, payroll systems and their associated integrations.

* Experience managing procurement, supplier relationships, project budgets and implementation risks.

* Knowledge of HR processes, UK employment legislation, payroll requirements and GDPR.

* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.

* A recognised project management qualification, such as PRINCE2, APM or an equivalent methodology, or relevant demonstrable experience.

The Opportunity

* Salary of £50,000–£55,000, depending on experience.
