Operations Support - Paintshop

Job Description Summary

Working with live aircraft engine components, preparing and applying specialist coatings.

• Produce engine components through numerous special process functions controlled by the OEM (Overhaul Engine Manual) & SPM (Standard Practices Manual)
• Deliver a Quality Product on time to internal and external customers
• Ensure production flow is maintained at all times
• Work in accordance with the company's quality procedure:
  European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part-145 Requirements
• Follow strict EHS guidelines in all aspects of shop floor safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure effective processes are used in a timely manner which supports their operations
• Willingness to operate collaboratively with all departments in a shop floor teaming environment

• Knowledge of Chemical Cleaning Processes and abrasive Blast Process techniques
• Knowledge of Paint Spraying and Preparation
• Effective communication skills
• Good team player with flexible approach and effective interpersonal skills
• A responsible/self-motivated person, willing to make decisions
• Computer literacy skills, ideally with experience of windows based packages

• Previous experience in Aircraft Engine industry
• Knowledge of Six Sigma or equivalent techniques
• Experience in Large Scale Production Environment
• Flexibility for potential night shift
