Introduction
We are currently seeking a Production Support Operator to join our Machine Shop Team. This is a key role responsible for ensuring continuous machine operation through efficient material supply, machine support and high standards of housekeeping and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain uninterrupted production by supplying machines with the correct bar stock and ensuring adequate lubrication levels.
- Carry out machine changeovers to accommodate new materials and production requirements.
- Support general machine upkeep to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Perform hourly quality checks with a high level of attention to detail to identify and resolve production issues within the production area.
- Use basic engineering drawings to assist with inspection and quality verification.
- Distribute materials efficiently across machines within the production area.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards in line with company expectations.
- Work safely at all times, adhering to health and safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively within a 3‑shift team to achieve production targets across the production area.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (preferred).
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings (desirable).
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving ability.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work a rotating 3‑shift pattern.
