CAMHS Nurse – Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board

The post holder will be working closely with colleagues in the multidisciplinary team and wider services to help children, young people, families and carers to address mental health issues and the resulting effects for them.
To provide patient‑centred care of a complex nature in a variety of settings. Work with the specialist nurse to provide ongoing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care, ensuring the maintenance of clinical records. Also, be responsible for developing plans of action, in conjunction with the Specialist Nurse. Work with the Specialist Nurse in the management of a caseload, working closely with the multidisciplinary team, patient, family and any other agencies.
At times work within the community setting, involving close family members where required, with an aim to promote positive change within the family. Attend and contribute to core groups, review meetings, child protection meetings and any other clinical forums requiring key‑worker involvement and provide accurate reports for such meetings ensuring patient involvement where required.
Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn’t mean essential; while the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we’ll consider it an advantage when short‑listing and selecting candidates. This isn’t ‘fluency’, just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.
