A leading and well-established accountancy practice is seeking an Accounts Manager to join its growing team in Poole. This is a key role within the practice, offering the opportunity to manage client relationships, support the development of junior colleagues, and work closely with Partners and Directors on a range of technical and advisory matters.

Key responsibilities as Accounts Manager will include:
  • Preparing and reviewing financial statements for a varied portfolio of clients
  • Preparing corporate and personal tax returns
  • Reviewing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with current legislation
  • Managing and developing strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted point of contact
  • Supervising and mentoring junior members of the team
  • Working closely with Partners and Directors to support client projects and specialist assignments
  • Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
The successful candidate will be:

An ACA or ACCA qualified accountant, although applications are equally welcomed from outstanding part-qualified and qualified-by-experience candidates with significant practice experience.

You'll have a strong technical background gained within an accountancy practice, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build lasting client relationships. Previous experience managing a client portfolio and supporting junior team members would be highly advantageous.
