An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Bookings Administrator in the Trauma and Orthopaedics Directorate at University Hospitals Dorset (UHD).

Main duties of the jobExpectations of the role
The successful candidate will join our well established T & O bookings team and it is hoped they will be able to start as soon as possible.
Reporting to the Trauma Co-ordinator the role comprises booking fracture clinic appointments and admin duties within the department.
The post holder will manage fracture clinic appointments.
Person specification Qualifications- Good level of general education
- Educated to NVQ Level 3, or equivalent experience
- Experience of clerical duties in office/administrative environment
- Customer Service experience
- Clerical experience within Orthopaedics or an NHS hospital setting
- Knowledge of EPR (Electronic Patient Record) and CCS (Care co-ordination system)
- CRT (Clinical record tracking)
- Computer skills and knowledge of computer programmes i.e Micrsoft Word, Excel
- Organisational skills
- Knowledge of IT skills within the hospital E-Camis/Microsoft Word/Excel/Email
- To understand and be able to maintain confidentiality
- Working in NHS
- Working on own initiative, raising any issues with the supervisor
- Good communicator with all staff groups
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work well both independently and part of a team
- Be able to speak English as necessary to undertake the role
