Office Administrator & Finance Assistant (Full-Time) - Salary £30,000- £35,000 depending on experience

Poole, Dorset (Office Based, 8am - 4.30pm)
REED Recruitment are exclusive working with a Transport Company based in Poole recruiting a reliable, organised, and proactive Office Administrator & Finance Assistant to join a small, friendly team.
This is a varied and hands-on role at the heart of their operations, supporting the Finance Manager and wider business. Full training will be provided. The role would suit an ambitious professional who is keen to progress within the company for the long term.
Working Pattern
This is a full-time position, working an average of 5 days per week, including one weekend in four.
When scheduled to work a weekend, you will receive the following Monday and Tuesday off.
During that week (Monday-Sunday), you will also provide out-of-hours, on-call support for urgent operational matters such as service interruptions or staff sickness.
Key Responsibilities
General Office Administration
Advertising Administration
- Maintain up-to-date advertiser records
- Respond to new advertising enquiries
- Issue annual and mid-year invoices, including discounts where applicable
- Employment & HR Administration
- Maintaining accurate employee records
- Keeping the Staff Handbook updated and compliant
Provide cover for the Finance Manager during absence, including:
- Weekly returns
- Banking spreadsheets and reconciliations
- Monthly returns for Head Office (receipts, discount tickets, traffic reports)
- Finance & Monthly Accounts Support
Working closely with the Finance Manager to:
- Post and pay invoices using Sage
- Prepare monthly account sheets (salaries, banking, payments)
- Enter receipts and payments into Sage
- Input financial data for monthly reporting
- Provide cover for the Office Manager when required
Requirements

- Confidence working with numbers and financial processes
- Experience with Sage is desirable (full training provided if required)
