Working as part of a supportive workshop team, you'll carry out MOT testing while assisting with light mechanical work when required, ensuring all vehicles are maintained to the highest legal and manufacturer standards.

As an MOT Tester, you'll be responsible for carrying out Class 4 MOT tests while supporting the workshop with vehicle inspections and light mechanical repairs where required.
- Carrying out Class 4 MOT tests in line with DVSA standards
- Inspecting tyres, brakes, suspension, steering, exhausts, batteries, and vehicle safety systems
- Completing wheel alignment checks and identifying vehicle defects
- Carrying out light servicing and repair work where required
- Ensuring all MOT inspections are completed accurately and within agreed timescales
- Maintaining accurate testing records and workshop documentation
- Ensuring all work complies with DVSA regulations, health & safety legislation, and manufacturer standards
- Delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high levels of workmanship
We're keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:
- Valid Class 4 MOT Tester Licence
- Minimum Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- Previous experience working as an MOT Tester within the automotive industry
- Good knowledge of vehicle servicing, brakes, suspension, steering, tyres, and exhaust systems
- The ability to work independently and as part of a busy workshop team
- A genuine commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer service
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence (subject to licence checks)
- Right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available)
