37.5 hours per week, Monday – Thursday 7.30am – 4.00pm & Friday 7.30am – 1.00pm

Salary:
Depending on experience

A successful and ever-growing electronics manufacturing company who have been established over 35 years are currently recruiting for a Buyer to join their friendly and hardworking procurement team based at their office in Poole.

You will be working in a team to ensure the effective and timely supply of parts & materials to production.

• Being the main point of contact for all procurement and material queries.
• Liaising with suppliers via includes emails, phone calls and face-to-face meetings to build strong relationships.
• Sending out manufacturing build requirements and drawings to suppliers and subcontractors.
• Negotiating and agreeing terms.
• Reviewing quotations and tenders.
• Buying parts and materials as per demand from the MRP system.
• Liaising with suppliers regarding late deliveries and shortages.
• Undertake regular reviews of all suppliers.
• Liaising with stakeholders regarding any changes in pricing, order delays, push backs, requests ramp ups or manufacturing changes.

• Previous purchasing / buying / supply chain / procurement experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
• The ability to be an excellent team player who can also work alone using their own initiative.
• Excellent prioritisation skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
• Good PC skills – knowledge of Microsoft programmes including Excel & Outlook.
