Detailed job description The Post:

This is a full time post attracting 10PAs.

Theatre Operating 2-3 PAs

Outpatient Clinic 3 PA’s

MDT 1 PA

Admin 1.25 PA

SPA 1.5 PA’s

• The job plan will include 1.5 SPAs
• The post will have appropriate secretarial support and office space within the secretariat.
• The post will include some flexible working but will incorporate identified fixed sessions in which to take a half day.
• The applicant will be expected to work across both Royal Bournemouth Hospital and Poole Hospital sites

• Full GMC registration
• FRCS or equivalent
• Entry on the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within six months of the date of the Advisory Appointments Committee
• FRCS or equivalent, Affiliation to one of the Royal Colleges

• MD/MS or equivalent
• Member of relevant Specialist Society

• Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining UK CCST in Breast Surgery at Specialist Registrar level
• Ability to offer expert clinical opinion within all aspects of Breast Disease & Management
• Validated training logbook of index breast procedures
• Ability to demonstrate competence in index breast interventions
• Competent in breast reconstruction and reduction
• Ability to obtain diagnostic quality breast cytology and core biopsy samples

• Oncoplastic fellowship
• Experience in performing chest wall perforator flaps
• Familiarity with recruitment into national breast clinical trials
• Experience in breast ultrasound
• Demonstrates experience and awareness outside speciality
• Experience of teaching clinical skills to undergraduates and post graduates
