Prospero Teaching is recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEN school in Poole for a dedicated and enthusiastic Student Support Worker. This is a rewarding opportunity to join a team committed to supporting students with disabilities in a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

From £14.96 per hour
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities:
Support students throughout the school day in a range of subjects and activities, including Reading, Maths, ICT, PE, Swimming, Dance, Drama, Food Tech, and Music
Promote and reinforce students' self-esteem, independence, and social development
Communicate effectively with students using their preferred methods of communication
Provide direct care to students in line with agreed standards
Assist with setting up and tidying classrooms before and after lessons
Build positive, professional relationships with students and colleagues
Support students in their physical, emotional, and educational development
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff
Requirements:
Experience working with children or young people (preferably with additional needs)
A positive, caring, and adaptable attitude
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to undertake training and development
Right to work in the UK
Enhanced child-only DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
Ability to provide two professional references
