Position: Estates Manager at TEACH

About the role

TEACH Poole Multi‑Academy Trust (established April 2015) is a group of four primary schools judged Good or Outstanding by Ofsted:
Ad Astra Infant School, Haymoor Junior School, Canford Heath Infant School, Canford Heath Junior School.

The Trust Estates Manager is a permanent position, required to start July 2026. Salary Grade I (Point 28‑31) £39,153‑£41,772.

Working hours:

37 hrs per week, 52 weeks per year – Monday to Thursday 8 am‑4 pm (30‑min lunch), Friday 8 am‑3:30 pm (30‑min lunch).

Key Responsibilities
  • Work within the Trust Estates team to ensure the school sites are safe, secure, and welcoming for children, staff, and visitors.
  • Maintain high standards of safety, compliance, appearance, and presentation of the school buildings and grounds daily.
  • Take a proactive approach to health and safety, ensuring policies, procedures, and statutory requirements are followed consistently.
  • Undertake and oversite general maintenance and site works to a high standard.
  • Coordinate and oversee estates services and external contractors to ensure consistent standards are met across the sites.
  • Be responsible for locking and unlocking routines and the overall security of the school grounds.
  • Work closely with school leaders, colleagues, and contractors to support the smooth running of the schools.
  • Be committed to raising and maintaining high standards across all areas of the school estate.
