Winchelsea School is a community special school committed to meeting the needs of pupils aged 4 to 19 with a wide range of learning difficulties. We work in collaboration with local schools, running satellite provision in classrooms at Old Town Infant School, Canford Heath Junior School, Kinson Academy and Magna Academy.

• Teach and support pupils with severe and complex learning difficulties.
• Use specialist communication techniques when working with children with complex needs.
• Build positive relationships with children and all relevant stakeholders.
• Contribute to the school's vision, goals and improvement agenda.
• Work flexibly across satellite classrooms at local schools, as required.

• Experience working with pupils who have special educational needs in a special or mainstream context.
• Good subject and curriculum knowledge.
• Ability to demonstrate creative, committed and passionate teaching with high expectations.
• Highly motivated, resilient, enthusiastic and committed to raising standards.
• Passion and desire to work in special education are considered important.
