Job Overview
Heatherlands Primary School is a large and friendly primary school with a proud and positive reputation at the heart of its community. The school is part of Coastal Learning Partnership, a vibrant, collaborative Trust of twenty schools working together around shared goals, values and aspirations.
We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant (Level
2) for 30 hours term time, 39 working weeks. Salary Grade 3 SCP 4‑6 (£13.05 – £13.47 per hour) with an actual salary of £25,185 – £25,989 per annum, pro rata. The role starts on 1
September and is a fixed term until 31
August
2027.
Work within a whole class, with small groups of children, or on a 1:1 basis.
Qualifications & Requirements- English and Maths GCSE grade C or above.
- NVQ Level2 qualification for teaching assistants or equivalent.
- Demonstrate that you meet the essential elements of the person specification.
- Subject to pre‑employment checks including a health check, Enhanced DBS check, Child Barred List check and satisfactory references.
- Will be subject to an online safeguarding search of shortlisted candidates.
- Experience of working in a school setting.
- Enthusiastic, responsible and eager to support children with their learning.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and encourage children; promote high standards of behaviour.
- Team‑oriented with energy for the role.
