Position: Faculty Operations Administrator (Fixed Term, Internal Only)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and organised professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to join the team as a Faculty Operations Administrator. The successful candidate will work in conjunction with the Faculty Operations Officers to ensure the delivery of effective operational support within faculties and will co‑coordinate all faculty finance and resource administrative processes. You must be able to build strong working relationships, prioritise a busy workload and work in a flexible and collaborative manner, providing an excellent service to the faculties.

THIS POSITION IS OPEN TO BOURNEMOUTH UNIVERSITY STAFF AND AGENCY STAFF CURRENTLY WORKING AT BOURNEMOUTH UNIVERSITY ONLY.

This post is available for up to 12 months on a fixed‑term contract or secondment basis to provide backfill for an established member of staff. Internal applicants may be considered for a secondment but this would need to be discussed with their line managers prior to application.

This position does not meet the eligibility requirements for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route within the UK Visa and Immigration service’s Points Based System. Faculty Operating Service

Directly supporting the three academic Faculties, the Faculty Operating Service (FOS) plays a pivotal role in fostering collaboration between faculties, other Professional Services and the broader BU community. The FOS maintains strong compliance and governance and delivers an exceptional student experience through continuous service improvements, efficient processes, and effective communication. As a key member of the Operations Support Team, you will support and enhance the academic environment by providing operational expertise, guidance, and services to staff, students, and PGRs, ensuring alignment with BU’s strategic objectives.
