Overview
The Lion Works School provides specialist education for children and young people with a range of additional needs. The school is committed to delivering a nurturing, ambitious and highly individualised approach that supports both academic achievement and personal development. Our provision places strong emphasis on developing core academic skills, encouraging creativity, promoting outdoor learning and supporting pupils to build confidence, independence and essential life skills.
We aim to create safe, inclusive and engaging learning environments where children and young people feel both challenged and supported to achieve positive wellbeing and successful outcomes. Across the school we actively promote mutual respect, tolerance, kindness, perseverance, teamwork and positive relationships as central values within our communities.
- 8:30am – 3:45pm, 4 days per week
- 8:30am – 4:30pm, 1 day per week
- Support teaching professionals across the curriculum and throughout the school.
- Work directly with pupils to support their learning.
- Provide one‑to‑one support and interventions.
- Demonstrable background in promoting high level outcomes for students with additional needs.
- Confidence, resilience, excellent communication skills and eye for detail.
- Passion for creating the best possible opportunities and outcomes for students.
- Subject to an enhanced DBS check, evidence of essential qualifications being seen prior to interview and satisfactory references.
